This is beef Pho with the stomach, intestine and etc... I ordered this... a little regret... cause to much of the organs...

We also ordered Viet Nam's famous coffee... cause their shop everywhere sells the best coffee... this is the cold version... after it drip finish, you pour it in the ice cup...

This is the hot version... I ordered this, cause you have to test the original one isn't it...

The coffee is damn 'kao' (thick)... it smells so nice... and it taste great too... awesomeness in a cup...

There is actually condense milk in the cup... after the coffee have finished dripping... you stir it with the milk and it become as such... smells so nice... missing it too... hng~

Ho Chi Minh City - Day 2

On working day 2, we follow the salesrep to visit the doctors in hospital in the morning... at noon, we stop at a restaurant to have lunch... my best lunch during the trip...

This is a sweet desert made from coconut...

And the inside is green bean paste... like those found in 'ang ku kuih'...

This is actually very tiny little clams... so many of them... and it taste super great... our colleagues told us that to get the clams out of it shell... since it is so little, it is impossible to open one by one... so they cook the thing in hot water and shake it in a net... and the clams will just fall of the shell like that...

This is how u eat it... the thing you scoop with is like biscuit... made from flour I think... it's tasteless but eat it with the clams... yums~

This is the lotus seed fried rice... very fragrant...

I ordered this... some kind of noodle... forget call what.. there's pork on top, something like sausage... the noodle are actually dry... so you add some fish sauce and mix it... and I tell you... it tasted awesome... the pork is so juicy...

This is a desert drink... it's actually longan with lotus seed in the middle... not bad but kinda sweet...

Since we follow the salesrep around for a day... so we went back to the hotel kinda early... during the night, we went to the shopping center called Big C... at first my colleague keep saying Big C Big C, I thought is Big Sea... as in the ocean until I went there... it's actually a 'C'... swt...

This is Lotteria, Vietnam's own McD.. sort of... they don't have McD in Vietnam... but we saw KFC and Pizza Hut...

The burger is only so so nia... kinda dry...

After dinner we went shopping a while... there is hell lot of people buying stuff... almost can't walk... then we went back to the hotel... and remembered we had a free drink at the hotel bar...

This is my supper... hahaha...the yogurt drink is from the super market... this is Vietnam own yogurt... damn nice... very thick unlike those selling in Malaysia... love it... but cannot bring back... scared spoil... sad~

The bread is bought from Big C also... one of the stores... I shared with a colleague... Vietnam is very famous for their pork bread... although the bread is kinda hard... but it is nice..

The last post next... leaving Vietnam soon.. sad sad~

Ho Chi Minh City - Day 1

Day 1 here means working day 1.. hehe.. so for breakfast, our hotel did provide but not a buffet style one... they only have bread and noodles... so we have a very simple breakfast and head to the office...

During lunch, they bought us for buffet... they ask us we want to have the a la carte or buffet... and we decided on the buffet as the food was kinda attracting to us... forgotten to took pictures... during the night, they treat us for dinner... a restaurant famous for it's Vietnamese pancake...

This is their pancake... is like the Indian tosai with stuff in it...

This is how you eat it... pluck some vege from a bowl of them, then put some of the pancake in it... dip it with a Vietnamese fish sauce and put it in your mouth... hahaha...

That is only the appetizer... here comes the main course... some fish noodles...

I ordered this, seafood fried noodles... the noodle is so cheewy and the seafood is fresh... look quite little but it is a lot...

This is the owner of the restaurant...

Our Vietnam colleagues on the right... thank you for the hospitality during our visits...

Ho Chi Minh City - Notre-Dame

Next stop, the Saigon Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica... it is just a few minutes walk from the Independent Palace... we actually came from the side... and the sight of it is amazing... the whole cathedral is orange-brown in colour, bricks... and the two bell towers is so tall...

Just amazing... we spent quite some time taking photos outside... hehe...

Then we decided to go in... there is some prayers going on since it is a Sunday... so we quickly took our pictures and left...

Just beside the cathedral is the post office... a very huge one... where you could actually visits... so we went in a while to have a look...

Outside the post office is a lady selling some food that looks like kuih bahulu... and it taste great... so we bought some as snacks...

That time is almost 6pm and we actually have skipped our lunch... so we decided to have an early dinner... we went to this restaurant that is highly recommended by the hotel receptionist... this is thier famous noodle soup called Pho... they have chicken and beef but no pork Pho... every where is like that... I dunno why... I asked the Viet Nam colleagues and they also dunno... haha...

This is some pork noodles... not Pho... the soup is sweet... not so nice...

Pork satay.. sort of... hahaha...

The restaurant name is Ngon... so I assume nha hang is restaurant...

After dinner the sky already turned dark... so we walk around to feel the night life... and to see the Opera House... it's quite a walking distance...

The Opera House is just to took photos of the architectures... we are not allowed to go in...

Then we walk around the area since it is still kinda early... we saw there are a lot of Christmas decorations since it is just around the corner... almost every shops (including the small small shops) have their own decorations... it really have the Christmas feel.. I had actually posted the Christmas decoration during Christmas earlier... Click here if you missed it...

During the night... motorbikes are everywhere... they are like water gushing out from a pipe... I had no other words to describe it... and in Vietnam, to cross the road... you need guts... just close your eyes and walk across... if you dont, you will forever not cross... seriously...

Basically that ends our free day... the day after that we are working as this is a business trip... but there are more pictures... mostly are food pictures... hehe... stay tuned..
