It's Christmas

It's the time of the year again, the holiday season... where we celebrate Christmas and New Year together... although I dont celebrate Christmas, but I just love the feeling of Christmas. the Christmas tree decoration and of course, the presents...

Well, as you had already notice, I had done a little changes to the layout of my blog... it now has a cleaner and more organize look... I feel the previous look is kinda messy... I also changed the post background to white... as pictures looks nicer with white background... I also thought of changing the banner but I had no idea on how to design it... so, just wait...

Wishing everyone a wonderful Christmas...

FreeAgent

Last week I went to the KL PC Fair with my Derrick... we took the LRT and met with another friend, Alan there... this is my first time being there and it was a little disapointing to me... I was imagining a sardine-can-like-crowd... where the promoters are shouting out their products and low prices... but it was not... it was just like a normal shopping mall where people window shop... maybe it's because the venue is bigger and more organized...

I bought an external HDD... the Seagate FreeAgent 1TB... it cost RM315 and it wouldnt go less... but I would not know on the last day as we went on Saturday... some say in the morning it was sold for RM299 only...

Neway, this is the bigger one then the usual small pocket-size model... this model has a power supply (you could see 2 cables behind it)... another is for USB connection... unlike the smaller size model which only need an USB connector... the difference is that in this model, since it uses a power supply it speed is 7200rpm... so it will transfer file faster... but the size is also bigger... as for the smaller model it's only 5400rpm... but it's much smaller...

For the software that is in the HDD... it's easy to install... but before installation it will ask you to register your product for the 5 year warranty worldwide... if you din register, the warranty is void... the software include a backup system, a sync system and a security feature... the backup will copy a set of your files into the drive... the sync will also copy a set of data but it will automatically/manually update the content of the data if there is any changes... if you have another PC/lappie with the same set of data, just plug it in and it will auto update it... and the security is to encrypt your important files with password... it's very easy to use...

Loving it...

ねえ。。。

Eagle Ranch - Day 3

On the final day (Sunday), as usual we went for breaky at 7+am then went and gather at the training room at 9am... we were given a balloon each to blow and tie it... after that we were given a stick and were ask to insert it into the balloon without bursting it...

The idea is to insert it at the tie end... insert it slowly until the stick is in and hold onto the hole to prevent it from running out of air...

...as such...

Later we were divided into groups with different numbers of member... each with their own task... I was assigned to the production team... where we produce balloons... our job is to blow balloons... a blow job, like what BL said (I know what you are thinking)...

The idea is to bring the balloons from one end to the other end of the room...

So we have the transport team (on the left)... the 2 girls are QA team... if the balloons drop to the floor... they're have to burst it... cause it's consider spoil... the right is dono what team (forgot liao)... they received the goods and pass to the warehouse...

This is the warehouse... or sort...

Then we have sales and also a customer (one of our trainers)... the customer will order from us and we're suppose to sell it... basically is to do sales... and we're the company that produce balloons...

The situation is a little kanchiong like... where the customer want this and that... and the inventory team (warehouse) ask the production team for this type of balloons and that... and we only have 4 peoples... and the other team are so responsible on their work... they only watch us blow ballons while waiting...

The conclusion is that we're suppose to be working as a team... where the other could help the production team to blow also instead of waiting... cause the training didnt say we could NOT help the other team... cause people are always too focus on their own jobs...

After that, we were asked to create a 'carpet' from papers of 8mx3m... and create a flooring of 12mx2m from white cellophane tape... we were given a blue file as measurement where the side length is consider to be 1m...

Then we were ask to fit the 8x3 carpet into the 12x2 flooring... and we could only cut once... so everyone work in 3 groups and came out the solution...

Later we were asked to stand in a circle... our right hand is to hold on to the opposite person's right hand... the 1st person left and were to join the 2nd person's left hand... the 3rd with the 4th and so on till the last one... so only even people could play this game...

after that we were suppose to create a big circle hand by hand without letting our friends hand go... and I was almost choke to death in the process...

Just kidding... hehe...

After that we have the traffic light game as such...

A B C _ D E F

the '_' denote an empty space... the one on the left are to move to the right and vice versa... the rules are only one person move at a time... and the person could only move forward and not backward... and a person could only skip ONE person in front (like when you play dam)... so work out yourself la... ask me if you cant get it... if I still remember la... hehe...

Later we were given a big canvas and we were asked to draw something on it for memories of the 3-day training... so each of us drew own own hands and write something on it... our master piece is as below... :D

Another group photo to officially end the training (actually there's a lot)... by that time it's about 2pm dy... so we went for lunch... and it's the best food so far... people always say usually the food gets better day by day... and it does... we left around 3pm... some of them went to Seremban to find another colleague but most of us went back...

So even though I just been working for less than 2 months... I could feel the friendliness and team work in the others... although I dont really know or understand each and everyone of them, could say that for each of them about me too... but I really are glad and happy to meet them... and I really enjoyed myself for the 3 days and also get to know them more... leven for just a short time... ooking forward to more activities/team work coming the way... in office or out of office...

Thank you...
谢谢...
Terima kasih...
ありがとう...
Merci...

Eagle Ranch - Day 2 (pm)

(continue from the previous post)

Around 2pm... we gather back at the training room and went to the beach... we were first brief on the objectives and task of what we are going to do... that time, the sun is scorching hot... it's indescribable...

So we were taught to build our own yacht/ship/boat/raft (whatever you call it)... we were divided into 2 teams... the objectives is to build the raft and row it across the sea for 75m, grab the flag, row all the way back and dismantle the raft...

...so, we need some super power strength to do it... hahaha...

...or maybe a Bollywood dancer? I dont think so... super woman maybe... tsk tsk...

After we built the raft and were so proud of our 'master piece'... the trainer asked us a question:"Do you trust each other?"... and we were all qondering what the question for... so we all said yes... and he said, you will exchange ur raft... =.=!!!

But before we begin the activity... we were asked to do water bravery test or sort (cant remember what it called)... then we all have to carry our raft (in this case is our opponent raft) to the sea...

...and the challenge starts...

The flags looked kinda near from the beach but actually it's far... half way through we were all tired... and my team was singing row row row your boat, gently down the stream sea... we are actually enjoying the sea breeze and the moment at sea... at that time the sun is hiding behind some grey clouds...

After we grabbed the flag and row back to shore... we have to carry it back to the beach and dismantle it... organise all the things together such as ropes and wood...

...and it was very exhausting... feel like all the energy are drained from you... on our way back it started to pour heavily... and we thought of going swimming... yes, we're crazy... we have no more enerfy but our spirit are high... since it rained, we went back to our room and rest...

That night, we have a BBQ dinner... the food was getting better and better day by day... the dinner was held at a bar sort place with karaoke... so we enjoyed our food and sing karaoke... cause we have a game where whoever that pick a joker from the deck of card will have to sing... and I am one of the lucky ones... after a few rounds some of the team went back to have an early rest while some still stayed for more songs...

May the spirit be always with you...
