Popiah on Cheng Meng

Today is Cheng Meng... having popiah on this day is like a custom or tradition of my family... dont ask me why cause I also dont know... on this day normally we went to my aunt house at Merlimau since she will do all the cooking and stuff... and we will pray our ancesters... a week after the Cheng Meng, which is next week, then only we will go to clean the tombs... the popiah ingredients and sauces is all made by my aunt... except for the popiah skin, it's ordered... so we have to wrap ourselves depends on how big you want it to be... mine was normal as you can see (hehe)... my aunt will wrapped bigger than that...

Pulut dan Pisang

Mom cook pulut hitam today... yummy~ with santan pekat some more... shiok... had 2 bowls for my lunch... my favourite...

Later that evening... my sister came back... so mom ask us to make banana muffins for tomorrow's Cheng Meng prayers... the recipe is from joyofbaking... later we make honey muffins cause mom feels like it's too little... recipe also from the net, but not joyofbaking... mom want a simple muffin... no pictures cause it's very normal only... muffins are so easy to make... seriously...

Chocolate Chip Muffins

I bake today... tsk tsk tsk... mom just give me the ingredients I needed... everything I do myself... proud of myself... taste awesome... very moist... mom and dad love it... here's the recipe, it's from my sister:

Ingredients:
Dry:
- 1 3/4 cups plain flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 3/4 sugar
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 3/4 cup chocolate chips (I used blackcurrant cause mom dont have chocolate chips *sad*)

Wet:
- 1 cup milk
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
- 1 egg

Methods:
1. Mix all the wet ingredients in a bowl.
2. Mix all the dry ingredients in a different bowl.
3. Pour the wet mixture into the dry mixture and stir well.
4. Pour into muffins tray with paper cups.
5. Bake for 20 minutes on 200°C (400°F).

* Makes around 2 dozens

Half-boiled

I woke up so early today at 10am... actually I woke up at 9am but slack a while... I could not fall back to sleep... usually I would woke up around 11am or 12pm... so feeling hungry I make half boiled eggs... but there's no bread... shaks! lazy to make coffee, I had it with milk... mom's cooking porridge for lunch... suppose to go library roday... someone ffk-ed... oh well....

What's next?

This question have been bothering me lately... something triggered me... I think is due to Dexter, not a person, it's a drama series... it's about this fellow name Dexter (duh???) who's a blood forensic in the morning but a serial killer at night.... and he only kill bad guys... I just finish season 2 yesterday... he has identity issue and always thinking who is he or what he meant to do... well, it's basically about dealing with life la... Grey's Anatomy is also quite an influence... so, since then I've been starting to think what's next in my life? what's been lined up for me after graduation in less than 3 months or so from now...

Seriously, I've been thinking it quite often... as a human, we tend to ask ourselves who are us and what are we suppose to do and so on... or is it I'm the only one thinking like that? anyway, I could not find an answer to the question... I seriously could not see what will I be doing after the end of May... where will I be after June... and who I am after this?

For the next couple of months and days left before that... I will be busy doing my FYP... rushing for assignments... studying for midterm exams.... studying for the finals... and basically making ends meet... that is as far as I could see... the hectic-ness of what will come to an end of my 5 years in MMU... but what's beyond that... it's blank like a piece of white paper... a mystery...

Before this trimester and long before my training... my parent and siblings would suggest to me what to do and so... but now, none has spoken anything to me... my mom use to ask me to further my studies by taking Master and so are my sister.... my father would just listen to them and stay quiet... father always stay quiet no matter what huh.... then my brother would ask me to find work immediately cause no one will support me, bah! all that shits la... sometimes, I think they only think of themselves... I mean my sister and brother... oh well...

So, what am I going to do after the end of May? take Master? I majored in computer engneering but I train in a software company... what can I master in? find a job? what job suit me? and could I even find a job since the economy is so bad lately... or there's other options to choose? could someone show me or tell me? seriously! WHAT"S NEXT???

Kuih Batik

Mom make kuih batik today... actually is me that want to make... mom just help out... so I did it and it taste awesome... sweet~

Ingredients:
- 200g of Milo
- half a tin of condense sweetened milk (susu pekat manis)
- 1 bar of butter
- 1 packet of Marie biscuit small (it actually depends on you whether you want more biscuit or not)

Method:
- Melt the bar of butter in a wok.
- Add in the milk and stir well.
- Add in the Milo and stir till it's glossy (kilat) like.
- Break the biscuits (not too small of pieces) and stir it in the mixture. Fold till all the biscuits are coated. Turn off the fire.
- Pour in a tray but preferably tupperware cause it wont stick so badly when you cut it.
- Let it cool and put it in the refrigerator and serve cold.

Having my first midterm paper this Friday... syabas, DSP summor, even great! Friday morning have to show my supervisor some other features of my system... but I haven do yet... login still a problem... this is just great... been having insomnia the pass few days... might due to the stress or something else... I dont even know myself... have better stuff to think about...

Coffeebean coffee still dont taste nice... I ordered the brew of the day... it tasted like the coffee my dad make at home... still prefer Starbuck coffee... wasted 8 bucks... currently at the library... suppose to be studying DSP... but I forgotten my notes... and connections here deny me from downloading notes but allow me to blog... ya, I know... tsk tsk...

Pizza at home

Parent went for a wedding dinner today... but mom prepared pizza for me... actually she just make the base... the rest I do myself including the baking... well, actually is the oven that bake it... the topping is rendang... it taste great...

R.I.P

A friend of my pass away yesterday... a friend that have never seen for a long time... and a friend that we have known a long long time... it was a sudden news for everyone... cause some just saw him a few days ago... and we just called him during CNY... may he rest in peace...

It's a sad feeling....

Not so productive day

Today suppose to finish a page of my system... but got some problems... was stuck in the coding part for hours... it feel hours to me... and also the database is giving me a hard time too... dreamweaver also keep saying my system out of memory... WTH!!!... at night wasnt that productive too... was kinda lazy to think about the coding and database... but have a little idea... will try tomorrow, hope it works... fingers crossed... I tried to update my phone software but keep on failing... I also dunno why... so giv up... watch some "how I met your mother"... and line kinda sucks too... a better day tomorrow...

3 days home alone

Since Sunday I am all alone at home... parent went holiday at Thailand... so I find people to hang out... basically only Yen around, and she's the nearest... hehehe... so we went MP for lunch at Sushi King... long time since I had sushi... I ordered Una Don (no pic)... quite little but was nice la... loves unagi... before that went around looking for Yen's stuff... after that walk around a while and wait for Poi Ngee to come... baru balik from Muar and the bas he took pass by MP... later we have BR cause got a voucher... get discount... then fetch Poi Ngee back...

Yesterday went out with the guys... actually only 3 of us including me... went to MP again... I've been going to MP for 3 days straight... we went for dinner at Pizza Hut... quite long din have pizza too... later we went Dataran to catch a movie... watched Pink Panther 2... okok only la but was funny... the whole 'process' was kinda awkward... so quiet wan, a bit weird...

Today went to campus to find supervisor to show him something... but he was busy... so ask Yen for lunch... we decided to go McD at Ayer Keroh there... after lunch thought of online-ing there but cant connect to the internet... so we went back to the library... went for class at 5-6.30pm... parent almost reach so went back to library to wait for them... around 8pm they reached... they din buy much since not much time for shopping... just some tibbits...

Library's connection quite fast...
