Penang Trip - Day 2 (PM)
After went to Kek Lok Si Temple, we went to hunt for food... so we went to the famous curry mee that seems to be the talk of everyone at Lorong Seratus Tahun... they say you have to try it...
We were kinda hype about the mee... as it is the talk of everyone...
When the noodles come... it look bland and uninteresting..
You have to add the sambal (chili paste) yourself... but it was so so only... very normal only... shrugs... it just don't suit to our tasting...
Feeling a little disappointed about the curry mee... we went to hunt for another local specialty; char kueh tiao... we simply pick a stall from the brochure... went in and sit down... ordered 3 and when it came, we were shock on the price... RM7 per plate... it is the most expensive char kueh tiao I ever had in my life... there are 3 big prawns... think that made it expensive... I would rather they reduce the prawns and just give me kueh tiao... geesh... but it was nice la...
After lunch, we went to find other attractions but all required fees to enter... and is not cheap... so we gave up and went walking around town... and stop by a cendol stall... after we ordered we only notice it is the famous cendol at Jalan Penang... the same we had on the first day... but this is the original stall...
Here only sell the normal cendol... and it taste great on a hot weather...
Walk around and found a stall that sell peanut pancake...
A bit disappointed cause the pastry is very thick instead of crispy..
After that we went back to the hotel to rest a while... around 5pm or so we went to search for pasar malan (night market) nearby... and we found one at Farlim... went there and there is still not much stalls open yet... wah, so late also haven open ar... around 7pm then there are many stalls opening...
There are so many stalls from cloths to food to toys...
The night market is not much different from here... so we decided to had dinner at a local restaurant... this is the blended nutmeg drink... is very normal in Penang... and it taste great... seriously...
Ordered a steamed fish... nice and fresh...
Erm... chicken... dunno cook what, forget liao... but is nice...
Pork... also forget liao... hahaha... too long dy...
After dinner we went to Gurney Plaza since the night is still young...
There's some Christmas decorations...
Walk around and went to the Gurney Drive to have supper... is just beside the plaza...
Ordered the chee cheong fun from a different stalls... yums~
Mua Chi... not bad...
Next, we bid farewell to Penang...
