Ho Chi Minh City - Independent Palace

After went to the market, cause we bought quite a few stuffs and it's heavy... so we decided to go back to the hotel to put the stuffs... then it's off to the Independent Palace... actually the route in the opposite side... so we just 'shun pian' go back hotel put stuffs... this is a little further, around 20 minutes or so... have to pay 15000 Dong (Vietnam money)... around RM2.60 our money..

They say when you are in HCMC... and you have the time... you must go to the Independent Palace... it's worth it... so we went in and saw the palace... outside there's a huge area with a fountains, some army tanks and an airplane...

We were so busy taking pictures outside still we almost forget the time... I think we spent a whopping 30 minutes outside...

The palace or building looks kinda small from the outside... but it actually have 3 storeys, a root top and also a basement level...

The first room is this dining room with an awesome painting hanging on the wall... where all the generals or the big big shot (last time la) have their food I guess...

We din follow the tour where they explain everything as we are in a hurry... we only have a day to walk around and we cant spend to much time at a place... this is a very huge carpet... and you are not allowed to step on it...

This according to them are real elephants legs... creepy...

Some decorations in the middle of the palace...

After that we actually went to the roof top... I have skip a lot of pictures as it is not so interesting... then we went to the underground level... here you could see all the old old equipment where it was used some hundreds or thousands years ago... this is an antique type writer...

The old school telephone...

The jeep they use in wars...

This is some music instrument... the lady did played and it was nice... dunno how to explain the sound...

So basically the palace is a memorable building that captures and stores all the memories and equipments use in the olden days... it is a very important building as it signifies their independence... according to them, Viet Nam actually have warred with so many countries before achieving their independence... so they are very proud of it...

Stay tune for more...
